Editing Photo Galleries

I recently published my first Front Page website, which includes pages with
Photo Galleries in them. I now want to edit those photo galleries, but I find
that the formatting of the pages has changed to some sort of table layout.
The photo gallery format appears to have disappeared so I cant edit them. The
pages still appear as planned and operate in the same way.

Can anyone tell me what has happened. Can I get the photo galleries back or
do I have to start again?
