Editing formulae

XL version 2002
Editing an existing formula which includes arguments which
resolve to blank, stays as text, not resolved to a value.
Behaviour not experienced in earlier version [97],which
has proved more robust for dev.
Aggravated with named cells holding blanks used as
arguments.
 
could not figure out whether this was a precis on xl 2k2 for a clas
project or a post for help on some xl conundrum... :-)..
