Editing elements in master title slide from main master

I am using powerpoint 2007 and I am working to setup some slide
masters. The top master slide (I'm calling main master) has the
elements setup the way that I want them. For the title master slide
that is below the main master, the elements all flow from the main
master to this slide (images lines etc). However, I cannot edit
these elements in the title master slide. I want to move a line in
the main master down lower as well as a rectangle etc. On some of
the included themes in powerpoint, I can see that the same elements
are editable in both the main master and the title master (without the
main master elements showing up in the title master as uneditable
elements). Does anyone know how to do this?

Elements on the master are only editable on the master. Elements on the
layouts (the things that look like sub-masters) are editable on the layouts.
If you want the title slides to look different than the other slides, right
click the title slide layout, select Format Background, and check the "Hide
background graphics" box. Then, you can go to the master slide, select the
graphical elements you want on the title master, copy them, and paste them
to the title layout. (You probably want to do the same process for the
section divider layout as well.)

Make more sense?
