Editable CLip Art - 2003 v 2007

In Powerpoint 2003, when inserting Clip Art, you had the option to customise
the Clip Art colours. The Drawing toolbar had the option (only in
Powerpoint, not in Word) where you could change the colours.
In Office 2007, you only have a choice (it seems) to pick from
"pre-selected' colours. Could anyone let me know if that wonderful 2003
choice is gone forever???

It helped customise ClipArt into Company colours!

Yes, editing the colors of vector art is gone in 2007. (Not sure if I can say
"forever," since who knows what the future will bring?) Instead, you can
edit the colors of bitmaps.

Have you tried Windows Paint? It can re-color vector art, using the Fill
with Color button, and you can define custom colors by choosing Colors>Edit
Colors. Of course, there are lots of other more sophisticated vector programs
that can also do the job.

I so loved that feature. It's gone in PPT 2007. You must ungroup the clipart
and recolor the individual pieces (or you can use the recolor tools if the
duotones are good enough).

Ellen,
Thanks so much for your quick response.

That is unfortunate, because it was a fantastic tool. I will keep the
bitmap info for future ref.

Thanks again.
