Edit, replace

When performing an Edit, replace on a cell containing
10.09.03 (10th Septemeber 03) replacing the . with / so
Excel can recongnised the as a date, it replace . with /
but the date comes out as 09/10/03 (9th October 03)

Any ideas

my regional settings are set for the UK

You need to format the cell to show the date in the format you want. Right
click the cell and click format cell, make sure your category says date and
then on the right column pick the format you wish the date to show as. That
should fix your problem
