Edit>Purge Deleted Messages-->Set to do automatically?

I'm using Outlook 2000 with an IMAP server. When I delete a message, I'm
doing so because I don't want the message. But when I delete a message from
an IMAP folder, I have to then do Edit>Purge.....

Is it possible to set it to automatically purge or at least move the message
to my server's "Deleted Items" folder?
