Hi Folks,

Is the edit links dialog box the same for XP and XL2K?

Biff

Not quite - XP has a couple of extra options:-

Break Links - which allows you to simply break all the links in the book and keep the values
instead
Check Status - Which allows you to verify the links
Start Up prompt - Which allows you to specify whether or not you get prompts on updating the links
when the workbook opens.

Thanks Ken!

The reason I asked is that I have to write up some
instructions for a user of XL2K.

I did just that today (sent a list of instructions to a user). Later, I
tested moving all relevant files to a new folder, then just clicked Yes at
the startup prompt and all links were updated, so I didn't have to go
through all that Link editing after all (and neither will the user I was
trying to help). Your needs may not be as simple as mine, but I thought I'd
pass on my experience.
