Edit Formula Button

I just converted to Office 2003 and noticed that the Edit Formula option (=)
to the left of the formula bar has been replaced with a Insert Function
button. The buttons react somewhat differently. Is it possible to get the
Edit Formula option back? Not sure if it was in Excel XP - I upgraded from
Excel 2000. Thanks.

It was taken away starting with Excel 2002(XP).

You cannot get it back.

Perhaps in the next incarnation of Office(2005?)it will return.
