Ebay and IE6

In the last few days, I have encountered problems with some ebay pages -
message appears saying
"lexplore has casued an error in <unknown> lexplore will know close"
Always happens when trying to sign and on other pages too.
Anyone got any ideas?

First eliminate any scumware.
