ease of access -- setting up high contrast

I checked the box to set up high contrast and the colors on my screen now
make some data unreadable and the background to everything is black. I have
attempted numerous times to reset this feature to get back to my original
colors, and nothing works. I cannot turn this feature off no matter how
many times I try...

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how about going into safe mode and changing the theme?
have you tried it?

tried it....no luck. It hasn't affected the other accounts on my
computer..only mine.........

Oh... if you have other accounts do a system restore!

I didnt think you had others...

I just upgraded to vista and don't have a restore point to use.

reinstall ?

Nevermind.........When changing to use high contrast, the theme on my account
was unknowingly changed..accessed via control panel, changing theme back to
default resolved issue. I didn't notice this the first time through.
