Early Warning System?

I love Vista. I just love it. Things seem to run much faster and smoother
than in XP and that's on the Beta 2. HOWEVER,

While I have been waiting patiently for RC1 to be released, it seems that I
missed out on the "pre-Release Candidate" download yesterday because I was
busy with the Toronto International Film Festival. I mean, we can't sit and
spend 24 hours a day checking every single blog and newsgroup for a message
that hints at where and when we might find RC1 available.

So, I'm hoping that Microsoft will consider giving users a little
forewarning, especially all those who are participating in the Beta programs
who, presumably, have contributed and would immediately benefit from fixes.
Really, releasing news in advance of making live on the net is not going to
change demand much. News travels fast. It's a matter of making sure that
people have the opportunity to plan ahead. I'd hate to think that I will miss
the RC1 release. Would I keep working with 5384 or reload XP (yikes) ? Once
you've gone to Vista, you adapt to the new environment and it's not
particularly great to move back if you don't have to.

Food for thought. I appreciate the work you guys are doing to provide a good
product to consumers.

A little warning would simply mean more would know about it sooner and the
100,000 downloads would be gone in a fraction of the time instead of a day
or two.
With such a small limit, there will always be someone who misses.
