Ean and UPC

Hi,
How can I detect the difference between a UPC and EAN barcode. I have an app
which need to prompt the user if EAN or UPC after barcode is scanned.

Chris,

I assume you mean UPC-A (used basically in US and Canada) versus EAN-13
(used everywhere else).
Simple. UPC-A numbers have 12 digits, while EAN-13 have 13.
