Firewall does not affect Hotmail so assume that this is not the problem, I am
using Outlook 2003
It happened when I went to Tools and tried to change the e mail address of
the sender, who is my son, who changes his e mail address and who replies to
the e mails I send, is this possible please? Thank you for your prompt reply

The firewall doesn't affect Hotmail because Hotmail (in IE) uses HTML over
port 80 whereas your Outlook e-mail may be using POP over port 110 which is
quite different. That aside...

If you change the e-mail address of the sender you're also changing the
account it sends from and you need to enter the password for that account.
Not to mention the proper server information. It's not quite so simple as
just changing the sender address.
