E-mails randomly marked as unread

We use Outlook 2003 SP2/ Exchange 2003. One of our internal users finds out
some of his e-mails are marked as "unread" randomly. It happens occasionally
but really bothers him. Could anyone help me with this issue? Any suggestion
would be much appreciates.

maybe somebody else has access to his e-mail.

or check the settings of his reading pane. Go to Tools > Options > Other >
Reading Pane and adjust settings.
