E-mails are disappearing

On Outlook 2000 I just watched 2 e-mails come in to the Inbox and then were
cleared out again withing a second. I do not have any Junk, Adult or Rules
set up, and I can't find them anywhere else on the PC. Outlook is displaying
the New Mail envelope at the bottom right, but there is nothing to open.
Where do they go?

Are they in the Deleted Items folder?
 
Hi Henry

I am running F-secure, but that says it has not detected any problems with
e-mails. nor anything else for ages.

Make sure you reset all your view to its default and remove any filters.
