e-mail vs. fax

I am using OL2002 with Exchange Server. When I open the list of contacts from the address book there are 2 of each persons name - one is the e-mail address and one is the FAX #. How does this happen and how do I change it to just one (real ) e-mail address? The contact record DOES NOT show a fax number in the e-mail field...

FAX numbers, as far as Outlook is concerned, are addresses and will be
presented in the address book. If you do not use the Windows FAX software,
then either remove all FAX numbers from the Contacts entries or put a
non-digit (like the word "FAX" or the letter "F" in front of the number in
the Business FAX field. This will cause Outlook to ignore that field.
