Although I always check the "Notify me etc" box, i don't get any e-mail
notification of replies.
Can someone please tell me why this is.
I'll try it again with this message.

Hi Brymor, it never works (well, not for me anyway).

Please hit Yes if my comments have helped.

Thanks.

Tks for your response, but is there something [settings] I can check to
ensure I should be getting notes?

That feature has ceased working for quite a while. You can try clicking on
your own name in the post, then in the user profile pop up, click on "Recent
posts by this user" in the top right corner. That should surface some results
for you. Any joy? wave it, zonk the YES below

Perhaps an offline newsreader that can follow threads? I'm sure
there's something out there that's better than a web interface (Google
Groups, MS, etc).

Outlook Express and Thunderbird can easily follow threads. I've
configured the Thunderbird view box to display "Messages from me."
I can then select "View All" and see what replies there are to my
messages. There's really no need for "notify me" e-mails.
