e-mail document type

I am trying to perform a mail merge with an e-mail document, but when
attempting to select my main document type the e-mail option is greyed out.
Is there a way to make that option work? I am currently using Word 2003 and
recently downloaded the Service pack 3

You must have a compatible email client configuration for the feature to be
available (Outlook, among others). See Word Help on the subject fpor more
details.
