Dynamic Presentations

Hello
I have a reporting tool that has 30 reports and we would like to automatically generate a Power Point Presentation of these reports, 1 report per page with the click of a button and have the presentation be saved locally. The data in these reports changes daily and the presentations will be created daily as well. Ideally we would like to do something using XML. Does any one know if this is possible to do and if so does anyone know how to do this? Any hints or ideas are greatly appreciated..

For some possibilities, check the PowerPoint/Interactive PivotTables

CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for

Hello,

PowerPoint does not provide support for consuming XML directly (unlike the
latest versions of Word 2003 and Excel 2003).

If you (or anyone else reading this message) thinks that is important for
PowerPoint to provide better (or any) support for support for consuming,
viewing and/or interacting with data and documents from other applications,
suich as consuming XML (without having to resort to VBA or add-ins), don't
forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).

Thanks for all of your responses. I looked into all of your suggestions and unfortunately it does not look like it is possible to do what we have been asked to do. We have built a web reporting tool and we have been asked to build a module that automatically generate Power Point Presentations with the click of a button. The presentation must consist of the data that are in the web reports. This poses our first problem; some of the data is pulled right out of the database and is plain text. Other reports perform complex calculations and return either custom graphs or the custom calculated numbers. How can we get this complex data and custom reports into the Power Point Presentation? The other problem is how can automatically generate the presentation with the click of a button from the web application? Most of the tools I have seen are basically a plug in to Power Point to pull data form a database or a file. Unfortunately none of these meet our needs. If anyone can think of a way to do this your feedback is much appreciated
Thanks
