Dynamic DNS registration

Hi There

I am having a problem with XP Pro dynamically registering
in DNS; have forward and reverse lookup zone - it will
register in the reverse but not the forward lookup zone.
W2K machines register in both.

Anyone come across this before?

I think that's because it's the DHCP server that registers
the reverse lookup, as opposed to the client PC which is
meant to register the forward lookup.

Anyhow, it ought to work just the same as 2k.
It does for me.

1) Check the connection properties on XP, and ensure the
option to register this connection with DNS is selected.

2) Ensure the machine's Primary DNS suffix is correct, and
that is is pointing to the correct DNS server.
