The other two replies are somewhat correct. The
applications they refer to do use the dxf file extension
but they are not the only ones. For a list of what
programs may use this extension go to www.filext.com and
have a look. Keep this site in your favourites list it
will come in handy. They usually have many links to free
applications that will open and use the file extension you
are looking for. I believe there are presently about 6
programs that use the dxf extension. There may be more I'm
