DWT and web components

I want to use a FP web component ( Search) in a page to which I will attach a
DWT.

When I do this in FP (2003), the design and preview pages show the form and
the button OK but when I attach the DWT and then view the page via a browser,
all I get is the template with [FrontPage Search Component] in the content
area.

Is it posisble to use web components in pages with DWT's attached ?

And any chance of some pointers on pages based on other components such as
uploads etc ?

Are you viewing the page via http from a server that has the FP extensions, which is required?
