I inadvatently deleated a folder by the name DVDROM in my
C:/ drive and I can no longer run any CD on my CD rom. How
can I find what I need in that folder and where to get it.
I upgraded to Win 2K on a Emachine etower 533 id. Please
any help is greatly appreciated. I'm really feel stupid
for having deleated it.

Can you pull it out of the recycle bin?

There is no file or folder named dvdrom that is loaded in windows by
default(at least not on my system). Therefor the sfc /scannow trick won't
work. the recycle bin trick doesn't work, reinstall the dvd drivers. you
may be able do download these drivers from the manufacturer of the dvd
drive if you don't have the install disks.
