I had the same problem in setting up my dvd burner drive. After considerable
research, I went back into my setup configuration (turn off computer and
press F2 @ startup) reviewed my respective drives and although the dvd drive
was shown as "on", I switched the setting back to off and then on again,
saved the setting and exited from setup. Window explorer then saw my dvd
driver in "my computer". Good luck, hope this helps your situation.
