Hello,

I have a HUGE Presentation due in the very too soon future!! I need to know
what my limitations are when it comes to video (DVD quality) in the
PowerPoint slide?

Ex:
I have .mpg --> works fine, use a .MPEG --> will not play :(

I have very surface experience with PowerPoint, meaning I know how to embed
a video/audio, etc, but nothing this in-depth.

What video (with audio) can I place in my power point slide so I may pay
them from PPT?

Thank very much in advance,

Awaiting for a reply....MGR

PowerPoint relies upon the Windows MCI media player to play all media in a
presentation. What that means is you must have the correct codecs in place
and they must available to the MCI player AND the files must be in a format
the MCI player understands. If you plan to distribute your presentation to
other machines they too must meet the requirements.

In the case of your mpeg file not playing I am guessing it is not in a
format useable by the MCI player. If such is the case you will need to
re-encode them in a more standard format before PowerPoint (MCI player) can
use them.

To gain a better understanding of multimedia in PowerPoint have a look at a
tutorial I put together some time ago.

If you are wanting to use a wide variety of media (files, DVDs, etc.) I
suggest you look at our new add in that completely automates the process and
assures playback in all versions of PowerPoint and the PowerPoint viewers.
