DVD/RW CD ROM Stopped working

the lights turn on but the media will not play. the optic drive wont eject on
it's own, i have to use a paper clip to trigger the emergency eject. tried
dvds and cds and it still wont work.

Replace it.

This sometimes happens when the cable at the back comes lose. Remove you
computer case (disconnect the power) and check the gray ribbon cable
connection. Also check for dust build up inside the case.

When I start up my pc thenThe lamp is burning of the drive.
The start stops en I pus the button on the drive en the light goes out en
the pc starts farder up. Then I try the door to open en it goes not open I
dont no what to do.

Can you help me?

My englis is not zo good I am already 72 jears old and that is along time a
go that I learnd it on school.
