dvd-rom xp driver sd-612b

I have desktop Presario 720 using window 98, I upgrade to
window XP then the Compaq DVD Rom SD-612B no longer work.
I search for a driver for Compaq DVD Rom SD-612B but could
not find one. Any one give me an advice please. Thanks

The drivers are built into XP. What is the error message in the Device
Manager? Is it seen correctly in the BIOS?

Have you reinstalled your DVD decoding software (PowerDVD or WinDVD are the
two usual ones that come with a PC)
