DVD Regions

Can anyone tell me if Windows XP limits you to 5 DVD
regions then permenantely selects the last one used? If so
does anyone know why?

I dont remember what the number of changes is (think it's 5), but yes
Windows XP does limit the number you may have. part of it is the DVD Drive.
DVD drives are region protected. you might want to check out DVD

It's not XP that does it, it's the hardware of the drive that limits it to 5
region changes. After that it must be reset by the drive manufacturer.

Google for a program called DVDGenie which will help get around this
problem.
