dvd drivers

when i try to burn a dvd it keeps coming up that it cabt find a dvd recordable device.This is driving me nuts,can someone help ,e please/
 
Problem only occur when you run this software or is DVD invisible to
Windows all the tim? What software are you using? What operating
system.
