DVD Decoder...help please

My computer won't let me watch dvd's. It's say that my dvd decoder is either
not functioning or i need to install one. My knowledge on computers is slim
to none...but i do know that my computer has played DVD's before. Help please!

BE CAREFUL downloading dvd decorders from windvd crashed my windows and I
had to reinstall it. but anytime you purchase these internal dvd players that
don't included a dvd player of some kind you might want to have a computer
specailist install it. nero 7 came with mine but it doesn't play either for
that I need to get the upgraded version (59.99). Yeah I was pissed, if you
want to buy a cheap dvd player program just buy power dvd 19.99 windows
really should provide some kind of default dvd player download or dvd rom
disc.
