DVD/CD-RW - Reads DVD but not reading any CDs

Hi,
I have a Toshiba Satellite M40X-184 laptop with Matshita UJDA760 DVD/CDRW.
Recently a problem started - it reads DVDs but does not read any CDs. Can
anybody please tell me how to resolve this problem... thanks

As previously stated, in other posts, DVD drives have two laser. One for use
with DVDs and the other with CDs. If you are having problems with CDs, you
can try using a DVD lens cleaner. However, if this does not help, then you
normally would have to replace the unit.
