dvd/cd-rom drivers not recognized

I recently replaced a dvd/cd-rom and now my pc tells me that it doesn't
recognize the drivers for it.... I'm lost and need help.

Hi,

Uninstall it and any other optical drives from device manager and reboot.
The correct ones should reinstall themselves.

you can work your way through it. this was very helpful to me although my
registry didnt have the Upper Filters listed which is probably why The player
wasnt working, so I deleted lower filters not the .BAK register then close
the dialogue bos, uninstall what is left of the cd/dvd player and shutdown.
Restart with your system drivers disk in the player and when it restarts, the
driver installs instantly and youre in business again. havent had a probably
through three ripping sessions and a couple of burning sessions. good luck
