DVD burning

I used to be able to burn DVDs from videos I've saved on my computer, but now
am not able to view the DVDs once they "burn"... the DVD players in my house
can't read the disks, even though it seems like they're burning properly on
the computer. Do I have the wrong drive path, or ??? I have NO idea where to
start with fixing this!

Thanks

Which DVD Burning software are you using?

Which type od DVD R media are you using? Most TV DVD players tend to
usually read mostly DVD-R media.

Most *older* TV DVD readers. Most current to a few years old read DVD+r
just fine.

It could be cheap media, the DVD writer may be failing, need firmware
updates, etc.

But is there any *really good reason* to use the DVD+R? Why take a
chance with the incompatibities of the newer standard (at least with the
somewhat older players)? I've had better luck sticking with the DVD-R
format.

I've been using DVD+R for a couple of years for duplicating movies...they
work on every TV DVD player I've tried.

I'm doing so because of advice from many experts in the field.
