DV-AVI

I am very new to this! - I have a Sony MiniDV Camcorder and am using Windows
Movie Maker. I want to capture the video as DV-AVI but this option is not
enabled - although the option shows on the screen I cannot click on it. The
only available options are "best quality for playback on my computer" and
"other settings". Other settings does not include anything about DV-AVI. I
have captured video using a different program as DV-AVI. Any ideas would be
appreciated. Thanx
 
Are you hooked up via firewire or USB? You need to use
firewire. After clicking on other settings, you should be
able to choose DV-AVI.
