Duplication of Personal Folders

S

Selvaraj

I am using Outlook-2002 in Windows - XP. The personal
folders are duplicated 2 times. The folder list is shown
as:

+ Outlook Today [Personal folders]
Calendar
Contacts
Inbox
Outbox
Sent Items
Tasks

+ Personal Folders
Calendar
Contacts
Inbox
Outbox
Sent Items
Tasks

+ Personal Folders
Calendar
Contacts
Inbox
Outbox
Sent Items
Tasks

I am unable to delete the duplcate personal folders as
the "delete folder" option is not enabled. But the
incoming mails are stored in Outlook Today - personal
folders - Inbox. Also I can send/receive mails without any
problem. I have tried to restore from backup.pst file.
Still the same problem persists.

Pls suggest a solution to delete the unwanted personal
folders.

You've got a damaged mail profile.
Create a new profile (do not copy it);
Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles

To access your current pst-file in the new profile;
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...

To set it as the default delivery location;
Tools-> E-mail Accounts...-> button Next-> use the dropdownlist below
