duplicate users

Hello,
I've installed Vista Home Premium. I've added a second account
(administrator), in order to change the first user account type from
administrator to standard user. Now I have 4 users instead of two -
duplicates, it seems, but does someone here know if a user remained both
administrator and standard user ? Anyway, after 1 user added and 1 account
type changed, 2 users seem to be just enough, but 4 ! Which user should I
delete, because this situation is really stupid ? Thank you anyway.

There is no full (root) Administrator in Vista unless it is enabled. All
users are setup as Standard Administrators or Limited Users. I would
recommend keeping the initial account you first started using Vista and
delete ones you created after the Standard User account.

The problem when user accounts are duplicated on the login screen has been
reported several times here. It appears to be an issue common with a system
that has a Fingerprint Reader and the OmniPass software installed.

You need to contact the system manufacturer or the makers of OmniPass to get
the fix.

Thank you for guidance.
Indeed, this happens on a Fujitsu Siemens laptop, which has both a
fingerprint reader and OmniPass software.
And so it has come to pass that I'll joyfully lengthen my way through the
Vista Stupidities' Lane.
Thank you again, good luck with your own Vistas.
