duplicate hyperlinks in shared border

I'm using FrontPage 2000.

I have added a new page using the navigation view. It shows up in the left
shared border as it should. When I save the (index) page the entire contents
of the left border is duplicated below the original contents. What is
happening, and how can I avoid it?

Please tell me how you solved this problem. I think the same thing is
happening with my web page.
