have pent 4 / win xp pro / office 3 ..
reinstalled my oringinal pst after new pc ...

in my outlook under folder view have two main folders both "Outlook"
in contacts have "contacts" and "contacts in Outlook"
in calenders have the same caldendars .. once as their original name and
again as original name "in outlook" and on the calendars themselves I have
MANY (but not All) appointments duplicated

somewhere along the way I screwed up in address book or someother place ...
how do I straighten this mess out so I only have one set of the same folders?

How did you "reinstall" your original PST?
If you can't simply close one of these folders, then whatever you did
corrupted your profile.
Create a new profile. Designate it correctly to use your old PST.
Not sure what version "Office 3" is, so you can look up any questions you
have in the KB or Help files relevant to your version. All the information
you need is there.

am using outlook 03 version -- I've had no luck in following your advice ..
nor can I find any help files that will undo this mess .. is there a way to
start all over with a new "blank" p[st and import the data ?
