duplicate files

I have inadvertently copied thousands of Word documents into my documents
folder in an attmpt to synchronise with a laptop. Is there a quick way of
deleting all the older versions, without trawling through them all?

You can try changing the view to details and then sort by the date modified
or created. Right click the header to see any fields not displayed.
