To satisfy everyone's curiosity, I "posted" the same response three times
because unlike on all previous occassions, I did not get the confirmation
message that my response had been submitted! Therefore, believing that it had
not been posted successfully, I re-entered it. Again, I did not get the
confirmation message, so re-entered it again. But if you think that makes me
an idiot Mr VanderMolen, then that is your prerogative.
As to your second point, please note that I did not claim that the scenario
I described was the same as that presented by having a duplicate account!
However, surely having two or more email adresses that come under the same
ISP account name (or in my case number) and which consequently require the
same password to be entered when setting up an account in Windows Mail, DOES
have the same effect as having DUPLICATE accounts listed when it comes to
receiving emails into your Windows Mail inbox?
But whilst it may be true that if you deleted all but your first and main
email address from your Windows Mail Accounts list, you would still receive
the emails sent to all the addresses under that Mailbox, is it not also true
that if you do this you will be able to SEND emails through Windows Mail ONLY
from your main email address and NOT from the email addresses you have
deleted from your Accounts list? I believe this to be true, as I deleted one
address and then when I tried to create a new mail, that address no longer
appeared in the drop-down box! That is why I offered the workaround!
And I sincerely hope that all those who still wish to be able to send emails
from any of the email addresses they have created with their ISPs, will find
the workaround useful? And that I may therefore be excused for offering it?
