Duplicate emails - 1 possible solution

I found that when I upgraded my anti-virus version, it would re-send tons of
email duplicates. The signature at end of email changes with new AV release,
thus making it appear to be a 'different' email from one signed with previous
release (3.01 vs 3.02) , so it re-sends to Outlook.
Some say to turn off the AV on incoming, but that exposes - unless you can
search any attachments you receive manually.

Not only can you search them manually, but every extant A/V program contains
an on-access or real-tim scanner that will catch an infected attachment if
you try to open it or save it to disk. Scanning incoming mail does not add
to your protection and can often cause trouble with mail. Naturally,
scanning outgoing mail is a preposterous waste of time, since your AV
software would already have caught any infected files prior to you trying to
send them out.
