duplicate email question

If I have a user that is in 2 or more distribution lists and I am sending
out an email to 2 distribution lists that a person is in both lists. Is
there a way in outlook or with exchange that will only send out 1 email to
the person and not two?

If Outlook can tell they're the same recipient, it won't duplicate the
messsage.
