Duplex printing on HP Laserjet 8xxx series with HP 24782A auto duplexer

Im struggling to get answers from HP (web & 800#) for some more
information
about duplex printing on our Laserjet 8500 (Windows)

I found a product: HP24782A Auto Duplex Unit for HP Laserjet
8100,8500,8000

I need to print a double sided invoice, but I'm trying to find out the
following:

1. how do you turn off the DUPLEX mode (physical switch, control
panel, print menu ??) for when you want to print single sided papers
???

2. what other peripherals, software, drivers, etc do we need

Anyone using this with some trials and tribulations would be
appreciated also

Thanks

You can turn it off in the print dialog box, although you have to dig
down a level or two. You can also turn it off in the driver, setting
it to off by default. And if you are dealing with a lame program whose
print dialog box won't let you turn it off (or on as you desire), in
the final analysis you can just pull the duplex unit out of the
printer, turn it off and back on again.
2. what other peripherals, software, drivers, etc do we need

Once you install the printer driver, go into Properties and select the
features tab. All the optional devices will be there (duplexer,
additional optional paper trays, output mailboxes and stackers, etc.).
The driver should auto-detect the duplexer and have it marked as
"installed" by default, but if it doesn't, just click on "installed."
