dublicate characters

Every character typed in a spreadsheet, either new or opened produces the
character typed twice. Example, I type a B I get BB I type 100 I get 110000,
any thoughts would be appreciated.

have you checked 'Tools - autocorrection' if there're some hidden
entries?

Also check if your worksheets contain event macro code

Maybe it's a keyboard problem.

Do you get this all the time, just with one workbook, just in excel?

If you swap keyboards, do you have the same trouble?
