Dual Screens on W-2000 Pro Notebook

I am unable to extend my desktop to a second monitor
attached to my Notebook.

Has anyone made this feature work. It has a box for "Extend
desktop to second monitor" on the Settings Tab of Display
in Control Panel, but it doesn't work?

Yes, this feature "works". It requires the proper video adapters be
installed, the proper drivers for said adapters, compatible settings for
both adapters(resolution and color depth) and monitors attached.
Please see Win2000 Help "Multiple Monitors".
