Dual pane for images

Freeware to view two (or more) images (jpg, bmp, tif, etc) side by side?
Thanks.

Thank you, very useful, but if I compare two multipage tif files, it's able
to show only the first pages.

Flasher will display 2 multipage tifs side by side, and with an option to
overlay one above the other and then toggle rapidly between them to
do a flicker comparison.

Caveat: It's only really freeware if you're running Windows 2000 or
earlier. It uses an OCX from Windows Imaging, which is no longer
supplied as standard with Windows XP onward. If you have XP and
you do buy the imaging software, Flasher still works ok.

Thank you, now I have XP; I used Windows Imaging when I havw Win2000. Is
this software downloadable free somewhere?
Thanks.

Sorry, it's commercial software. I'm being very naughty telling you this
here,
but in the Flasher section of my site, there's a link to the Global360 site
where
you can download a 14-day free trial. And the anti-piracy protection is
pretty strong after the 14 days ends. You might want to try some of the
other suggestions in this and the related thread.

Thanks, of course I don't want any illegal installation. But I have an old
(bought) copy of Win2000, could I find what I need there?

Thank you.
Of course I could do it, as I could do with other image programs, but
managing the two panes is not very easy to handle.

It was included standard in the Win2000 installation. There are specific
clauses in the EULA against reinstalling it on any other OS.
That said, I have seen it done although not by me. I can't tell you
how to go about it yourself.

You can do that by opening two instances of IrfanView.

I've added as many as four using one IrfanView. Pano - just add another
of your choice ... I haven't tried a large number of photos but I don't see
any reason why it shouldn't work.

I opened a couple dozen instances of IrfanView once. . . accidently.
.. . all I remember is the feeling of panic when they started to
appear rapidly one after another. . . ;)
