Dual NIC in XP

I have a situation where there are two NIC's in an XP workstation. The
system is used to access two separate networks with different IP addresses
and subnets. We do not want traffic from one to be able to access the other.
When the system is booted only one network is active. When it is disabled,
the other network becomes usable but we can't seem to get both networks
active at the same time. Is this even possible? If so, can I get some
advice on how to correct the installation. Thanks

I have 2 nics on my computer and they work fine, I have also installed 2
nics
on various computers and they worked... so it SHOULD be working....

We'd need more details. (IP addresses, subnet masks...)

And you CANNOT seperate two networks like this...at least not securely.

Roger,

Check the resources assigned to each NIC. Right Click on the connection,
then Properties, then Configure. Click the Resources tab. If there are
conflicts listed at the bottom of the window, change the resources assigned
to one of the NICs.

I have the same issue as Roger. I've checked the resources properties and
show no conflicts. Any more suggestions?
