dual monitors

With a Intel 865GBF motherboard, can I achieve dual-view
with one monitor connected to the on-board graphics and
another to a PCI graphics card? Anyone tried that?

Yes, you should be able to do this. Theoretically you could use up to 10
adapters and monitors.
