Dual Monitors

We have several people with laptops and they use a second monitor. I hadn't
heard of this problem from them before. But now with setting up the new
laptops and then plugging in the 2nd monitor, the laptops don't
automatically pick up on the 2nd monitor, you have to go in through display
settings and tell it to extend the desktop to the 2nd monitor. From what I
can tell (without asking the users), they didn't have to tell it to extend
the desktop everytime they hooked up. Did I miss something?

Thanks.

Try going to WM home page, downloads, scroll to the encoder, locate its
utility section, download the exhibitor pro.The software is specifically for
dual monitor use...

Hi StressMonkey, some laptops feature a function key for setting use of
two monitors. That setting is located in the BIOS.

Check your owners manual or tell us which laptop you are using.

It's a new Lenovo 3000 C100.

Thanks. Unfortunately that doesn't work on any of ours even when hooking up
a projector. I guess I'll keep looking for something somewhere.

Hi StressMonkey, IBM /Lenovo has related updated software on thier
pages, that does download with the Thinkpad Software Installer. You are
uptodate here?
