The default and as far as I've ever found the only option is the "extend the
desktop" across the displays, e.g. NOT clone the first onto the second.
Windows "natively" only supports this extended desktop. Most multi-head
video cards (Matrox, nVidia and ATI) give an option within THEIR drivers to
have "clone/mirror/etc." modes, e.g. the 2nd display shows the same desktop
as the primary display. This is NOT available when using two separate video
cards. One must instead use a 3rd party tool such as MultiMon to achieve
this.
